The upgrade to our new site is going well. The major coding is mostly complete and now it is just a matter of transfering all the data over. However, Blogger is not very web-compliant on its own so it isn't just a matter of downloading/uploading files. Still, everything is going very well.
This site here at Blogspot (Blogger) will remain online with a link to the new site and the existing library will be mirrored here. But the new site will give us a whole new platform to expand our services immeasurably while maintaining the character of the present site.
As soon as the new site is ready to receive visitors, you can be assured that you will be kept informed. But here is a brief run-down of the new features:
- a streamlined but still familiar interface
- a server that is virtually dedicated to us
- easy to use file upload facilities
- the possibility of dedicated user pages (your own page of uploaded content)
- files hosted on-site with faster, more responsive downloads
- a fully indexed and searchable file database
- many online services including a full major music dictionary online
... and that's just for starters. But moving up to the next level is not going to be without some growing pains... that is why I really appreciate your patience during this transition. We will soon be updating the library as never before.
To all the visitors of this site I want to say, "Thank you for your support."
